How well-prepared is the ecosystem that should be driving green entrepreneurship in Latin America? The figures hold surprising answers.

The upside: there is talent, a track record, and diversity. Sixty percent of the leaders hold postgraduate degrees, half of the organizations have been operating for over a decade, and more than ten different types of entities—ranging from accelerators to chambers of commerce—coexist, weaving a rich and diverse ecosystem.

The concerning part is that this ecosystem has structural cracks. Nearly half (43%) survive on budgets of less than USD 400,000. And although specialization is key to generating deep impact, 70% continue to operate as generalists; only 23% have truly specialized.

The overall score? 53 out of 100. A bare pass that makes it clear just how much ground remains to be covered, especially in one critical area: impact management and measurement (IMM), where the shortfall is most pronounced.

The big question? Can an ecosystem with such great potential and so little specialization really scale sustainable entrepreneurship in the region? We share the answers—and the full data—in the report.
